Walther <br />ecuuve Director <br />RE: Angie Pit, File No. M-2000-049, Notice of, Pre-Hearing Conference and Formal Public HearingM,~naei s. long <br />Div,S~an Director <br />Dear Ms. Smesrud: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received objections to the Louisiana Land and Gravel <br />Company, LLC application for a Mined Land Reclamation Board Permit for the Angie Pit. <br />Pursuant to Rule 1.7.4, of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board (Rulel, DMG has scheduled the application for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) for consideration of the application. The hearing has been scheduled <br />for the July 26-27, 2000 Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver, Colorado. <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.7.1, DMG has tentatively scheduled aPre-Hearing Conference for July 18, 2000. The <br />purpose of the Pre-Hearing Conference is to identify the parties for the Formal Public Hearing and to identify <br />the issues to be considered by the Board at the hearing. The Pre-Hearing Conference is scheduled to take <br />place at the Redvale Community Center, across from the Redvale Past Office, commencing at 1:00 P.M. If <br />rescheduling of the Pre-Hearing Conference is necessary, DMG will inform all parties of the rescheduled <br />conference. <br />Pursuant to Rule 1 .7.4 and 1.4.6, DMG held an Informal Conference (which you attended) on June 13, <br />2000. Rule 1 .4.612) states, At the /nforma/ Con/erence, each person objecting to the approval of the <br />application shall set forth the grounds for the objection. Similarly, the Applicant, and any other person <br />supporting the issuance of the application, shall present the grounds necessary to support the issuance of <br />the application. <br />The Division has received your written objections regarding the Angie Pit application, and your signed <br />request that you be named as a party to the application process.
