VanSlylte, Supervising Geologist / ,~ <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources '~ <br />SUBJECT: Bestway Paving Co., 83rd Joint Venture, File No. M-92-069 <br />Section 35, T6N, R66W 6th PM <br />Water Division 1, Water District 3, <br />We have reviewed the application for the 83rd Joint Venture Pit, as per your request of <br />June 23, 1992. The applicant proposes to mine sand and gravel and to reclaim the by <br />letting the pit fill with ground water. The application indicates that augmentation or a <br />substitute water source is available. The application also states that the pit will be de- <br />watered for mining and that dewateting wells will be necessary. We concur with these <br />statements. However, no applications for well permits o~supply plan review have been <br />received by this office. Therefore, we are unable to recommend approval of the 83rd Joint <br />Venture at this time.
