The applicant proposes to mine sand and gravel and to reclaim the by
letting the pit fill with ground water. The application indicates that augmentation or a
substitute water source is available. The application also states that the pit will be de-
watered for mining and that dewateting wells will be necessary. We concur with these
statements. However, no applications for well permits o~supply plan review have been
received by this office. Therefore, we are unable to recommend approval of the 83rd Joint
Venture at this time. We would be pleased to review the application after proper filing of
permit applications and a supply plan.
Should you have any additional questions, please contact this office.
cc: Alan Berryman, Division Engineer
George Varra, Water Commissioner
