The Rail Loop Pond <br />repott is not certified, however, a copy of the report is included so that your files will show that dte <br />pond was inspected during the 3~d quarter 1997. HGTI has not yet completed the process of <br />updating die permit to reflect die current storage requirements for die Rail Loop Pond. in addition, <br />during die Pemtit Renewal Application process, HGTI discovered drat dre pond embankment did not <br />have the nunimum of one foot of freeboard between dte top to the emb:utkment and die water <br />surface of die pond flowing at design depth. On October 31, 1997, HGTI submitted a permit <br />Technical Revision (fR) to modify die existing permit and bring the Rail Loop Pond into compliatue <br />wide die existing regulations. Once die TR has been approved and die pond compliance issues <br />satisfied, HGTI will submit pond inspection repotts drat have been certified by a Professional <br />Frigineer. <br />Conditions were normal :u~d no problems were observed. A single discharge from the Truck Loop <br />Pond was observed during the quarter and a NPDES sample was collected.
