O'BRIAN
~RltIDlNT
August 22,1984
Ms. Carol Russell
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street Suite 423
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Ms. Russell:
Re: Concrete and Asphalt Batch Waste
MLR File N0. M-84-099
J-Bar-B, Inc, Bailey Pit
9989 WEST 80TH AVENUE
ARVADA COLORADO 80004
3b3-423-7297
It is the desire of the owner/operator that no waste material
from the concrete batch plant or asphalt batch plant be disposed
of on the property. The operator knows however that it is not
uncommon for a driver to wash out a mixer and dump it somewhere
in the excavation area. It has been shown, time and again,
that this material when dumped into the pit area it is not dele-
terious to lake reclamation. Thus it is hard to see how this
could be a violation of the MLRB permit.
With regard to waste from Asphalt batches we know of no
such waste unless it might be a few shovels fulls of material
from truck clean-out that you are concerned with. In any case
it seems unlikely that this would be a violation of a MLRB permit.
Sincerely,
~~ p
Larr~E. 0' Brian
