Mined Land Reclamation
Denver, Colo. 80203
Dear Sir:
t ~~~
Octooer 4, 1979 '
RE: The Kagie Gavel Pit
Your File #79-102
In reference to your letter dated August 29, 1979, I have enclosed the
information you will need.
The gravel pit is for 9 acres instead of 10 acres. I want a limited
impact permit.
The mining plan: 2 crushers will probably be used--- a primary and a
secondary. Also a set of scales to weigh the loads of gravel will be on the
site. The thickness of the gravel is 50 feet and the top soii is from 0 to 6
inches in depth.
Also inclosed is a decription of the plants on the site by the foil
Conservation Service. Reco~d varieties of grasses are brome, rye grass
and sweet clover .__
__ ~---
Also enclosed is a letter from the •,•Jater Resources, which is self explanatory.
The Reclamation plan is to leave the site with as little slope as possible
to prevent erosion and to reclaim the land in a manner which will look natural
to the rest of the land. The 6 inches of top soil will be put back on the surface
and a suitable seeding of grasses will be used. (Grasses recommended listed above).
A copy of my permit from the County is enclosed, also proof of publication
in the local paper. Also a list of alI land-owners, who were notified. I hope
this answers your questions.
Inclosed: 1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
Your~s,/t~ru~ly~,
~" ~ •, " l
Permit from County.
List of Landowners notified.
TJotice of Publication.
Letter sent to landowners.
:,'ater resources letter.
Soil Conservation Service report.
~ ~~
UCT ~~° 1979
MftaED LAfJD REGt,AMF',7:D',J
Ca!o.
