Probably will
cause temporary disturbance to mule deer.
Critical Habitats/Vegetative Communities Impacted: The predominant
habitat type is Pinyon-Juniper with interspersion of Gambel's Oak.
The are is quite arid with very little vegetative understory. No
critical or endangered species known.
Assessment of impact: Minimal impact to the wildlife resource as
a result of mining activity.
Mine Reclamation Recommendations (include key species/habitats for
which restoration is designed): Mule Deer and Turkey would
probably benefit most from proper reclamation efforts. Planting of
Gambels Oak and revegetation with native grasses should be
incorporated into the reclamation plan.
Prepared By: Willie Travnicek, DWM Date: 07-13-92
Submitted By: Dave Lovell, Wildlife Biologist Date: 07-13-92
This statement is void if not processed within 1 year.
This analysis does not constitute approval of application.
