Winter: <br />Ia order to consider this application adequate for the February 25-26, 1981 <br />meeting of the Mined Land Heclamatioa Board, the following items moat be <br />addressed in detail: <br />A. ESHIBIT D - Mining Play <br />i. Why is it necessary to permit 149 acres when only approximately 52.4 <br />scree will be mined? <br />2. Why has area C bees excluded from the mining plan and timetable on <br />page D-3? <br />B. E7CHIBIT 8 - Reclamation Plan <br />1. Area C and the haul road have not been included in the mining and <br />seclamation schedule. <br />2. In addition to areas A, B, sad C, ell topsoil must be removed from tbti <br />proposed haul road site prior to disturbance and •toekpilad for later <br />replacement. <br />3. Prior to topsoil replacement, all compacted areas must ba ripped to a <br />depth of at least 8 to 12 inches. <br />4. A few peninsulas sad/or islands should be created along m irregular <br />lake shore to incraaaa vildlifa usage. <br />5. What will be the average depth of the lake? Tha staff suggests that <br />a shallow area be creatsd.to support emergent aquatic vegetation. <br />6. The staff suggests these eha following seed min be used oa the slopes: <br />Luna Pubescent Wheatgrass. - 4.5 lbs. PLS/acre <br />Harlon Western Whaatgrass . - 4.0 lbs.
