There is <br />no increase in clay with depth. These soils take water mmaxa moderately <br />well but most runs off beeause they are so steep. Water holding <br />capcity is only fair. Production is fair when used for native grasses. <br />They are far too steep and shallow for cultivation. <br />XAI-AB Sandy alluvial lands. <br />These are dep, alluvial lands adjacent to streams. There is no increase <br />in clay content with depth. Slopes range from 0 - 3%. These soils take <br />water well but have low holding capaicty. They are only fair in production <br />when used for range, and are fa r. too sandy for cultivation. <br />These soils are generally subject to overflow. <br />
