ARer meeting with <br />you and Mirk zt the site on . iovember 5, 1597 you zsked me to put in a letter what we discussed. <br />1. You recomerded fencing ?5 acres of the pit & kr_ping all roads open to travel. ARer mating with <br />yeu znd Kirk it waz agreed that I could insrll a controlled acess sate on the South road <br />leading to the pit site, w'nich would give me the secvriry I need u:d still eve access [o rand'-;5?0 for <br />the public to use. No other fencing should be needed until reclamation begins. <br />Z. You recomendtd a plant for noaous we'.d controll. i also a¢ree that weeds would need to be controlled <br />and 1 would agrr_ to spray once or rxice a year as needed. In tatting with IGrk. he thought the BL~f could <br />assist me ini[ally with this problem because of [ht weeds that already east on [he si[e. <br />7. You recomended that the acess road leadinz [o the site be construred to Counry sptcincations. In our <br />meeting at the site it was agrrd to all that I could could use a "pit run" base [o stabilize the read and <br />ust smaller ¢ravel for the driving wrface. <br />4. You •.vanted no tap soil to be used in construcion of rozds or other site work. I would agrr. to this. <br />5. You recomended iderti;;ng and fencing the possible archaeological site in the Southwest come: of the <br />properr+.
