Shelton <br />Director <br />I have received this application and have the following questions, <br />comments and suggestions which must be addressed in detail prior to <br />the October 28-29, 1981, meeting, of the Mined Land Declamation Board. <br />A. Exhibit E -.Reclamation Plan <br />1. Please describe the attitude and density of the predominant <br />joint structures that are found in the bedrock being mined. <br />2. Please describe in detail all proposed benchin;;, including the <br />slope and width of benches and the vertical distance between <br />benches. A cross; section of the proposed Cinal quarry high <br />wall would be helpful. <br />3. What other techniques will be utiliā¢red to insure that the <br />resultant vertical rock face will. be left in n stable condition? <br />4. After 12" of topsoil is placed over the nCf:ected areas, the ~ <br />operator should not compact the soil to 90% relative density. <br />Prior to seeding, the operator should harrow the site to prepare <br />a proper seedbed. <br />5. Is the operator plamTing to irT.-if;ate the seeded areas, as rec- <br />ommended by the Soil. Conservation Service? <br />6.
