As you know, this is
designed as a quarterly sampling program meaning that a set of samples is to be obtained
and processed every three months from the designated wells. Sampling is performed by
Coors Energy Company (I have been the only individual performing this function for the
past several years since we were pared to a minimal stall).
As you are aware, recent shoulder surgery has limited my functional capabilities in the
field. While I originally anticipated that the surgery was scheduled sufficiently in advance
of the end of the quarter to minimize its impact on the sampling function, the surgeon has
advised otherwise. Currently the "support" for the shoulder is scheduled to be removed
on March 31, obviously leaving no time in the first quarter (1998) to perform the
monitoring well field work and collect the samples. At this time I have little idea what
kind of functional capability I can expect without the "support", but nevertheless would
ask that CDMG consider aone-time extension of the time period for this sample
collection, through the first half of April. Somehow, within that time frame, I will manage
to complete the field work and obtain the proper samples for laboratory analysis.
