Box 1430 <br />Palisade, Colorado 81526 <br />Re: Groundwater Sample - CRDA 1 <br />N'c-tvay <br />Dear ~8artrer <br />Roadside Mine (File No. C-81-041) <br />Enclosed please find the results of a water quality sample from the northern - <br />most well at the Cameo Refuse Disposal Area 1. <br />The first page details general comments, including depth-to-water in the well <br />before sampling, field pH, specific conductance GuMhos/cm @ 25o c) and <br />temperature. <br />The second page lists the parameters sampled for, and the concentration of <br />these constituents, <br />If Powderhorn Coal Company decides to seek Division approval to route spoil <br />pile discharges to a sediment pond, the Division will require calculations <br />which support the contention that the receiving pond can handle the 10 year 24 <br />hour event plus the discharge from the seeps, and still meet Department of <br />Health effluent limitations. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />Steven Renn r <br />Hydrologist <br />SR/vjr ~ <br />cc ` Thomas D.
