Bruce Humphries
Minerals Program Supervisor
Office of Mined Land Reclamation
1313 Sherman Street Rm 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Mr. Humphries:
In response to your recommendation, and based on our mutual understanding that we have both
found commitments numbers 29, 30 and 31 of Amendment Number 6 difficult to understand and
implement in the as-built situation of the Valley Leach Facility, The Cripple Creek & Victor
Gold Mining Company agrees to work closely with the Office of Mined land Reclamation to
re-develop those commitments prior to the June 1995 Mined Land Reclamation Board meeting,
at which time the changed commitments may be a discussion item on the Board's agenda.
Further, in response to your request, in the unlikely event new dale collected at this site
demonstrate that operations are in violation of the intent of these conditions, CC&V will waive
its right to a 30-day notice prior to a Board review ($3.3.1(1) of the MLRB's Rules). The latter
waiver is agreed to in order to expedite the re-development of the commitments.
Thank you for clarifying this situation-
E.
