Schreiner April 8, 1987
Reclamation Specialist
Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Co. 80203
Dear Mr. Schreiner:
According to Mr. Gary Fritz and Colorado Regulation 4.05.6(11)(c),
the Division may grant permission to examine sedimentation ponds other
than quarterly.
Since Coors is only required to maintain one pond at this time,
(Sedimentation Pond #2) and three sides of this pond are incised, and
the other side is only five feet high, and the basin is less than an
acre, and there has never been a discharge from this pond, it would
seem appropriate to reduce the number of required examinations.
Coors, therfore requests relief from the quarterly pond inspection
requirement and suggests annual inspections would be appropriate.
Truly ~,irs~
Ci/L/C/~ z-d~-e
John G.
