The following
pazagraphs aze responses to your letter. I have also updated the permit application itself to reflect
these responses and enclosed a draft copy for your review.
Exhibit C -Mining Plan
Your paragraph four: Throughout the Gfe of the operation, Sierra plans no dumping in any area
that might cause further offsite damage, specifically in the azea dvectly east of the main portal. I
have revised the northern boundary of the affected azea to delete this area, as there are no plans to
perform any mining or reclamation activities there. It was originally included without thought as
to whether there would be any activity in the azea. Sierca will post signs on the east side of the
road in this azea to prohibit dumping so that there is no misunderstanding by Sierra employees.
Your paragraph five: Discussion of this issue is provided below under Exhibit G -Legal Right to
Enter.
Your paragraph seven: As stated, Sierca may elect to move the generator trailer from its current
location on the surface to a location underground. Should this occur, Sierra will use an existing
buried steel fuel supply line from the existing surface fuel tank through the existing utility tunnel
(just south of the main quarry portal). A Snal underground location for the generator has not
been chosen. The relocation of the generator underground will result in a shorter run of the
buried fuel supply pipe than exists currently. I have also added one hour of large backhoe time for
removal of the fuel supply line upon reclamation.
Your paragraph eight: Approximately 100 lineal feet of chain link fencing exists in the quarry
entries where IMP fencing has been removed. Sierra will maintain these fences and add up to 500
lineal feet oftemporary lodge pole pine and bazbed wire fencing to prevent pubhc access to
