South Division of Minerals and Geology <br />Denver, CO 80222-1530 <br />Subject: Third Quarter 2002 Colorado Wastewater Discharge Monitoring Reports, <br />Permit No. CO-0032115 <br />Dear Ms. Lenkey: <br />Enclosed aze Trapper Mine's Third Quarter 2002 Colorado Wastewater Discharge Monitoring Reports for <br />the period 0711/02-09/30/02. During this quarter, one NPDES outfall was active. Outfa11002 discharged <br />routinely throughout the quarter. Outfalls 001, 003, 005, 006, 008, 009, 010, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, <br />016, 017, 018, 019, 020, 021 and 023 did not discharge during the quarter. Outfalls 022 and 024 are <br />associated with sediment ponds that have not yet been constructed. No discharges aze reported for these <br />outfails. Values reported on the enclosed DMRs represent the maximum (or minimum as applicable) <br />monthly/daily values generated at each outfall during the quarter. <br />Also enclosed are monthly NOAA weather summaries for the reporting period, seep volume data for site <br />011, and WET test report forms as applicable. One outfall was sampled for WET analyses during the <br />quarter. A single species acute test (C. dubia) was completed at outfall 002 in August. No exceedence of <br />the WET test limitation was observed at the tested outfall. The results for outfall 002 WET will be <br />formally reported with next quarter's DMR submittal as the applicable reporting period for this test at this <br />outfall continues through December. <br />No exceedences of primary effluent limitations occurred at any outfalls during the quarter.
