The bond amount is $921,000.00. To date, WFC has not <br />requested any release of this liability. <br />(2) WFC's current bonding requirements have been calculated at $408,856. It is <br />WFC's opinion $408,846 is adequate to completely reclaim the mine and <br />remove coal from the loadout in Walden. Following is a description of <br />activities, costs and time frames to complete this work. <br />Wyoming Fuel Company (WFC) is proposing to reclaim the existing pit and <br />facilities at its Canadian Strip Mine near Walden, Colorado. In addition, WFC <br />is proposing to reclaim the loadout facility in Walden. <br />Pit reclamation will include removal of existing facilities, backfilling the pit, <br />constructing a drainage corridor and sediment pond, topsoiling, seeding and <br />mulching. Loadout reclamation will include removing the coal stockpile base. <br />The loadout is an industrial site and will not be topsoiled or seeded. <br />Existing facilities to be removed at the Canadian Strip Mine include: (1) an <br />office trailer, (2) a shop, (3) a crushing plant, and (4) truck scale. The office <br />trailer is an 8x26 ft pre-fab structure. The shop is a 40x48 ft metal building <br />with main supports set on concrete footers. The crushing plant includes an <br />8x12 ft wooden building that houses the electric controls. The rest of the <br />equipment is not enclosed and includes a hopper, feeder-breaker, crusher and <br />150 ft stacking belt. WFC plans to sell these facilities prior to commencing <br />earthwork. Concrete footings, scrap steel and belts not sold will be placed in <br />the pit prior to backfilling. <br />The existing pit will be backfilied using scrapers and bulldozers. There is a <br />total of 448,000 cy of material to be moved into the pit. Approximately <br />280,000 cy is scraper dirt. This scraper dirt will come from the spoil pile <br />currently north of the existing pit. The remaining 168,000 cy will come from <br />• 116A (Revised 04/13/90) <br />
