Division Director
Please find attached, copy of revised hydro monitoring plan for the Howardsville Mill,
submitted by the operator, and copy of DMG 1 1/5/96 response. The monitoring plan
appears to followA most of the recommendations stated in your 12/7/95 memo.
Deviations from 12/7/95 recommendations include relocation of several monitoring sites
and request to conduct monitoring on a quarterly basis for the first year and semi-
annually thereafter. 12/7/95 recommendations were to conduct monitoring on monthly
basis for the first year and possibly quarterly thereafter.
Please review the attached monitoring plan, proposed by the operator, and provide
comment regarding requested deviations from 12/7/95 recommendations. Also, please
clarify acceptable analytical detection limits for laboratory analysis.
Thanks again for your continued assistance in Howardsville Mill issues.
