• iiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiii~
999
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Davio H. Getcheq Executive Director
•
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVID C. SHELTOH, Dlrodor
Richard D. Lamm
Governor
June 20, 1984
Mr. Bruce Cramb
Valco/Pueblo Concrete Division
P.O. Box 857
Pueblo, Colorado 81002
RE: Oakleaf Pit, File No. M-84-089
Dear Mr. Cramb:
I have received your response to my adequacy letter of June 11, 1984, and, in
general, I feel that you have adequately answered my questions concerning the
110 permit application for the Oakleaf Pit. I do have a few final points of
clarification, however. I will mention these below, using the same exhibit
letter and question number designations as in my original adequacy letter.
Any questions not mentioned again are considered to be adequately answered now.
I will expect to receive the publisher's affidavit to prove publication before
VI next week's scheduled meeting (as you mentioned in your letter). The proof of
notifications to adjacent landowners is adequate.
Exhibit B
2. If revegetation of flood control berms is adequately accomplished, our
Division would not necessarily have a problem with leaving them in the
areas you specify in final reclamation. They will need to be
revegetated in accordance with your final reclamation plan, however.
There should be enough overburden to accomplish the addition of
shoreline irregularities to the proposed pond as well as leaving the
berms for flood control, however. You should indicate that this is
indeed the case and that Valco is thus committing to doing both things
with the overburden available. Please clarify this matter further.
Exhibit D
3. I spoke with Rich Rhodes of the Soil Conservation Service, yesterday.
He said that he would provide information concerning vegetative cover in
I lieu of the usual CO-ECS-2 form for this site. Given the site
conditions as he described them, this information should be adequate.
v We will need to receive this information before next week's Board
meeting.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
