I believe we resolved several technical
and scheduling questions. With this letter, I would like to go over the.fortnat for reviewing and approving
the application.
With an existing permit and a bond on [he site, Mrs. Whinnery can have the County crushing
operation move onto the site, setup, and crush material into a stockpile. I[ is imperative that no
material be transported off the site. I will make this very clear to both Mrs. Whinnery and the
County. Only when the 110 permit is issued, can material be removed from the site.
2. In our application, we proposed a bond of $28,574. Although you have not had time to review
the bond, you believe that this amount will be adequate. Therefore, I will request that Mrs.
Whinnery submit a bond package to Barb at the Denver office. That way, the Denver office can
have both your approval letter and the bond at the same time during the week of July 20.
3. Your plans require you Lo be out of the office from 3uiy 20 through July 23. W iih the newspaper
publication occurring on July 10, the public comment period expires on July 20. Assuming that
there will be no written objections, you can coordinate an approval notice to the Denver office
with your co-workers there at the Durango office. In this way the Denver office could be
informed on July 21 or 22 that the application is in order and the process at the Denver office can
begin.
Thank you very much for you help on this. 1 am sure we will be talking at least once next week.
Cordially,
TUTTLE APPLEGATE, fNC.
~ J~~
Gary J. ~ttle
G]T/sjr
cc: File #98-149
Helen Whinnery
11990 Grant Street, Suite 304 • Denver, Colorado 80233 • (303) 452-6611 • Fax (303) 452-2759
