The small pond in the southwest portion of the site will be a location for
wetlands mitigation. A portion of the faz north end of the large lake will also provide azea for
wetlands mitigation.
Topsoils from the existing wetland azeas to be disturbed will be removed to a minimum depth of
12 inches. These soils will be stockpiled sepazately from the other topsoil at the site. This
wetland soil contains many roots, tubers and seeds and will be used to revegetate the replacement
wetland azeas. This method of wetland revegetation is an accepted practice by the Corps of
Engineers. It is not anticipated that additional seeding of the wetland areas will be necessary.
I hope this adequately addresses the concern regazding the wetland mitigation and any potential
bonding for that area. Please call if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
TUTTLE APPLEGATE, INC.
Paine a .
