i III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />Rationale for Recommendation of Approval, Over Objections; Regular 112 <br />Construction Materials New Application, <br />Camilletti & Sons, Inc. <br />Camilletti Milner Pit #2, File No M-2001-023 <br />(July l3, 2001) <br />Introduction <br />On June 28, 2001, the Division of Minerals and Geology ("Division") issued its recommendation <br />for approval of a Regular l 12 Construction Materials Application, over objections. This <br />document is intended to provide a basis for the Division's recommended approval over various <br />concerns and reasons for objection to the Camilletti Milner Pit #2, File No. M-2001-023. <br />The Camilletti & Sons, Inc. application was found complete and considered filed with the <br />Division on March 30, 2001. The site is located approximately 0.5 miles east and southeast of <br />Milner located in Routt County, Colorado. The 45 acre permit area is located in the SE1/4 of the <br />SE1/4 of Section 15, T6N, R86W, 6th P.M. A total of 35.81 acres will be excavated throughout <br />the life of the operation. Of this total 35.81 acres, the maximum area to be mined at any one time <br />will be six acres. The site will be dewa[ered and dry mined using conventional mining <br />equipment. The depth of excavation is expected to range from 35 to 46 feet. Alluvial <br />groundwater is reported to be from 5 to 7 feet below the ground surface.
