Relevant information is also presented to aid in <br />understanding the format, basis, and context of the permit. <br />2.03.3 -Format and Supplemental Information <br />OMI has endeavored to delineate information in this application as cleazly and concisely as possible <br />while mairt[aining consistency with the scope of specific applicable regulations. <br />The original permit application, issued in October 1983, was prepared by and issued to U.S. Steel <br />Mtning Company. Specific documentation required by this section was not included in the original <br />submittal OMI has reviewed all previously submitted information and has corrected or <br />supplemented this information as necessary to assure that all required information, assumptions a.td <br />references aze included in the appropriate sections of this application. In addition, supposing <br />information has been reviewed and validated to assure that all conclusions ate documented by sound <br />technical data. <br />OMI has ako reviewed sampling, testing, and analysis work completed in conjunction with this permit <br />application and confim~ed that it was either performed or certified by competent, qualified persons. <br />All laboratory analyses were performed by experienced laboratory personnel using approved <br />• standardized procedures unless otherwise noted. <br />In order to assure appropriate documentation, technical data presented in thu application includes the <br />names of personnel directly responsible for its collettion and analysis, dates of collection and analysis, <br />where available, and a description of analysis or evaluation methodologies, if known and where <br />appropriate. <br />This application reflects the effoss of a number of technical and professional organizations and <br />personnel. Considerable time, expense, and many man-hours have been devoted to the collection, <br />analysis and organization of the technical data and other information submitted in this pemtit <br />application.
