Long <br />Division Director <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has completed review of the sediment pond inspection <br />reports for 2001 at the New Elk Mine. The reports reflect information consistent with <br />observations made during DMG field inspections. Unusually dry conditions prevailed during <br />much of the yeaz. We have no further questions at this time. <br />Please remember to submit quazterly pond inspection reports to the Division within 30 days <br />following completion of the inspections.
