f Permit No. 711 - 70 r <br /> LAND aEc,.;,1 f,rlou BOARDr 1111111111111111111 <br /> Department of Natural Resources 999 <br /> Room 114, 1845 Sherman Street Telephone: 892-3403 <br /> Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> f OPEN 11INEIG PLEMIT <br /> 1'I[IS PERt•ffT is issued this 17th day of Ifay , 1976 <br /> by the Land Reclamation Board, Department of Natural Resources, State of Colorado. <br /> W I T N E S S E T H <br /> WHEREAS, FLATIRON PAVDIG CO;IPA11Y OP ROULDG'R <br /> desires to operate an open mine, known as 17ELSON PIT , for the purpose of <br /> extracting sand and Gravel ; and, <br /> WIIS•,RI"A31 the Land Reclamation Board has received an application and <br /> reclamation plan and map, a fee and a bond or security for such operation as <br /> required by law: and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Land Reclamation Board has made a finding, for the purposes <br /> of issuing this permit, that the method of operation, physical appearance, and <br /> timetable are reasonable in view of the public interest in physically attractive <br /> surroundings and completion of the operation as soon as practicable; and, <br /> 11NIPRPAS, for the purposes of issuing this permit, the operator has made <br /> a satisfactory showing to the Board that his operation will not adversely affect <br /> the stability of any man-made structure on the area of the affected land and <br /> within two hundred feet of all boundaries of such area; and, <br /> WHEREAS, for the purposes of issuing this permit, the operator has made <br /> a satisfactory showing to the Board that he will employ during and after his open <br /> mining operations procedures reasonably designed to minimize as much as practicable <br /> the disruption from the open mining operations and will provide for the rehabilita- <br /> tion of any siich surface resources adversely affected by such open mining operations <br /> through the rehabilitation of plant cover, soil stability, water resources, and other <br /> measures appropriate to the subsequential beneficial use of such mined and reclaimed <br /> lands; and that in the event of the failure of his proposed reclamation plan, he <br /> will take whatever measures which may be necessary in order to assure the success <br /> of reclamation of the lands affected by his open mining operations; and, <br /> WIEREnB, for the purposes of issuing this permit, a copy of the applica- <br /> tion approved by the Land Reclamation Board of the State of Colorado is attached <br /> to this permit and thereby becomes a part of the terms hereof. <br /> 11(M Tla' E' ORE, Pursuant to the authority set forth in the Colorado Open <br /> Mining Land Reclamation Act, Article 32 0£ Title 34, C.R.S. 1973, as amended, the <br /> Land Reclamation Board of the State of Colorado hereby iss�;• : a permit to <br /> I'latirnn Pavi.nr Company of Boulder to engage in open mining for the purpose <br /> of extracting sand and Fravc7. on the following parcel of ground : porti()nr, o" <br /> Gccticn:: 19 29 and �0, Township 2 North, Ranre 08 lIcst, 'Held Counter.
