Watcher
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
The Division of Minerals and Geology has reviewed the Discharge Monitoring Report for
the Rimrock Strip Mine for the 4th quarter of 2002.
The report complies with the requirements of Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(iii)(A) for submittal of
completed forms to meet NPDES permit requirements. The notation "No discharge"
agrees with the Division's observations through field inspections. Please ensure that
your visits to check for pond discharge meet the requirements of your Colorado
Discharge permit and the discharges are sampled when, and if, they occur.
The Division did not receive the 3rd quarter 2002 DMR here at our office. Please submit
this document for our records as soon as possible.
We have no further questions at this time. Thank you for your diligence in pursuing your
monitoring and reporting as required.
Sinc r y,
~~i-~-~-----.
Ke .Gorham
Environmental Protection Specialist II
