Re: Water treatment chemicals
The Division received notification from the Colorado Departrnent of Public Health and
Environment, Water Quality Protection Section, regazding approval of additional chemicals
for treatment of mine water discharge at the Fish Creek Borehole, CDPS Pemtit No. CO-
0042161.
The CDMG permit does not address specific treatment to be used at the NPDES points
beyond stating where and projected quantities that discharges will occur and monitoring
frequency. Specific approvals regazding chemical tteatment to permitted dischazges appears
to be covered under the CDPH&E CPDS permit and would not require a sepazate revision to
permit text or exhibits found in the CDMG permit.
