Rindahl, Director
Mine d Reclamation
Department of Natural Resources
1845 Sherman St.
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Sir:
This has reference to your letter of June 3, 1976, regarding our application
for an open mining permit.
Would you please make the necessary changes in the application to show Valco,
Inc. Since the filing of this application we have discontinued the use of d/b/a
Certified Concrete Company.
With our application, Attachment G, pages 1 of 32 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 was from
the Soil Conservation Service. It was their opinion that the surface area would
reseed itself as it has at other excavation pits near the acreage of this permit.
When visiting with Mr. Bob Compbell in his office on June 3, 1976, we left
with him a memo of a personal conversation with the Wildlife Division. We
request this memo be made a part of our application.
We are in the process of preparing a water resources narrative as per #12,
page 9 of the rules and regulations and expect to have this to you in the very
near future.
We estimate the cost of our reclamation as per #13, page 9 to be $3,300 for
the 8.03 acres or $411.00 per acre.
The mining and reclamation timetable was included in our application marked
"Attachment Ell, we assume this is self explanatory.
If there is further information needed or if items submitted are not
covered sufficiently, please don=t hesitate to call us.
We intend to have the water narrative submitted in time to have our application
heard on July 13.
Would you please advise if this is the date scheduled in July as we plan to
have this published no later than June 23.
Very truly yours,
F1
Executive Vice President
