Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation and Soils
Information
1.) Wildlife Information: Attached is a completed Mined Land Wildlife
questionaire and statement/evaluation form by Mr. Don Bogart of
the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
2.) Water Resources Information: This is a dry pit without groundwater
being encountered in previous excavations and none anticipated in the
proposed mining operation. A dry creekbed known as Sand Creek
traverses the adjoining property to the north. Water is present only
in times of severe runoff.
Our ooerations will consist of screening and crushing operations. A
wash plant will not be utilized at this site.
Contamination of ground water or surface water isn't anticipated
because of the foregoing conditions.
3.) Vegetation and Soils Information: Attached is a letter from Mr.
Lynn Healey of the Soils Conservation Service listing the types of
soil, amount of topsoil to be utilized, backslope degree recommendations
and seeding recommendations. These recommendations have been followed
in the reclamation plan.
