III III I II I II IIII III Doc Date:1 211 112 0 0 1 <br />sss <br /> <br />r REQUIREMENTS OF 30 CFR 211 CONCERNING FEDERAL MINING PLANS <br />\~. <br />Consistent with the requirements of the Federal Lands Program under the <br />Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act ("SMCRA") at 30 CFR 741.11, <br />Kerr Coal Corporation hereby applies for federal mining plan approval <br />pursuant to 30 CFR Section 211.10 (c). <br />All of the information concerning the mine plan area as well as the <br />methods of mining and reclamation which are required to he submitted by <br />30 CFR Section 211.10 (c) is set forth in the body of the accompanying <br />permit application. <br />Compliance with the performance standards for coal mining and reclama- <br />• tion operations on federal lands as set forth at 43 CFR Section 3041, to <br />the extent applicable, is likewise detailed in the accompanying permit <br />application. It should be noted, however, that the performance stan- <br />dards at 43 CFR Section 3041 embody the Interim Performance Standards <br />under SMCRA, while the plans and information in the accompanying permit <br />application are intended to affect compliance with much more stringent <br />standards of the Permanent Regulatory Program under SMCRA. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
