Jim Schmieding
Dear Mr. Schmieding:
1
I
RE: Portland Quarry 77-344
Your notice dated March 23, 1973 advised materials received
complete the preliminary items of Application 77-344, with
a tentative schedule for hearing at the May 24-25, 1978
Board Meeting. Because of delay in mail deliveries and Ideal
personnel being out in the Fort Collins and Fremont County
plant offices, the first publication tvas April 7, 1978.
Attached is proof of the April 7, 1978 publication in the
Canon City Daily Record. As stated in Application 77-344,
it is our interpretation that Ideal is the owner of all rights
to surface and minerals involved and that appropriate buffer
zones separate affected lands from adjacent land owners. Please
advise if the Board or staff wish to designate any parties to
which Ideal should mail the publication notice.
As stated on the notice, a copy of Ideal's application was
placed in the Planning Office, Fremont County. Posting of this fact
was made on the bulletin board in the office of the County Clerk
whose offices are in the same courthouse building.
If you should require additional information in the application,
or that a later Board Meeting may be appropriate, please advise
at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
R.
