No further coal <br />exploration is proposed. <br />Information about exploration projects conducted by EFMC that were proposed and <br />approved, those completed or not wnducted, and the bond release status is described <br />below. <br />1. 1987 Exploration Protect <br />The 1987 drilling project was proposed and approved under Notice of Intent No. <br />X-87-154-17. EFMC proposed to drill 6 holes at 5 sites located outside the permit <br />area. <br />Completion of the 1987 drilling project in November 1987 included drilling 4 holes <br />(RC-1, RC-1A, RC-2, and RC-5) at 3 of the proposed sites, and performing final <br />reclamation of the sites and associated disturbance. Following request for bond <br />• release and subsequent inspection of the sites by the Division, full bond release of <br />$7,600 was approved on September 30, 1988. <br />2. 1988/1989 Exploration Project <br />The (988/1989 drilling project was proposed and approved under Minor Revision <br />No. OS and Notice of Intent No. X-88-154-20. EFMC proposed to drill 30 holes at <br />22 sites located both inside and outside the permit boundary. Due to economic <br />constraints, no drilling or related activities were initiated. Subsequently, EFMC <br />requested release of the associated exploration bonds. The Iivision approved full <br />bond release for MR-OS and NOI No. X-88-154-20 on March 11, 1991, for the <br />amounts of $15,800 and $16,600, respectively. <br /> <br />686 Revisod: ?J27/98 <br />j~N-o 3 ~-~-9~ <br />
