Cattany
Division DIrecIDr
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division has received and reviewed the 2nd Quarter 2004 stockpile, site and pond
inspection reports. Most of the reports aze satisfactory and we thank you for the
submittal.
There is a question regazding the results of the compaction tests for the waste pile. The
value provided for laboratory Proctor density is 76.0 pcf. Is this recent laboratory
result? The Proctor value used should be updated regulazly, probably on an annual basis.
The optimum moisture contents are all identical for the tests reported (11.5%); the
measured moisture content is reported at less than that - as low as 6.7%, but the relative
compaction is reported as 100%. Please review these results.
Sincerely,
~.
Jim Burnell
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc: S.
