Dept. of Natural Resources
RE: New agreed to date for submittal of amendment on Daniel's N2
Your File No.: 73-7
Dear Mr. Loye:
On February 8, we discussed the matter of a revised deadline date for the
amendment to the above referrenced permit. After considerable discussion
regarding what is involved and the nature of the change it was agreed that
March 22, 1985 would be the due date for the amendment. Of course, if we
can complete the work prior to that date we will submit it sooner, but
March 22 will be the goal.
Please keep in mind that this amendment is not just an addition of some
area, but is essentially a total rewrite of an older permit. The rewrite
is based on new information that has become available since the original
permit was drafted as well as some large changes in the operational
planning. Therefore, this amendment is a more complex and involved matter
than a simple additon of acreage.
I have discussed this matter with Mr. Herskind of Daniel's Sand Company,
and he agrees with what we agreed to. We thank you for your consideration
and assure you that we fully understand your concerns about letting the
matter go too long. We agree that it should be corrected as quickly as
possible, but also feel that it would be more efficient and less confusing
to the file if it were done in one step rather than two. I am sure you are
aware that when a file starts getting changed frequently things can get
very confusing - tracking the changes and figuring out what is supposed to
happen where can become a horrendous task.
Respectfully,
<///LWC `<' /~~~~~
Mark A.
