Following <br />aze a few items that need to be addressed in order to meet the minimum requirements of the <br />Act/Mineral Rules and Regulations: <br />1. Exhibit E -the applicant states that topsoil will be hauled in from borrow pit cleaning <br />operations. Normally, this involves weed infested soils which need to be treated for years <br />after being imported. Please describe your proposed weed control policy, which will be <br />necessary to control the spread of noxious weeds. <br />The applicant states that the landowner wants the access road (improved existing road) to <br />remain after reclamation has been accomplished. Please provide a signed document from <br />the landowner demonstrating that he wants the road to be left as is when mining is <br />finished. <br />2. Exhibit G - (3) please provide an estimate (in gallons or acre-feet) of the annual projected <br />water requirements for dust control purposes and indicate the source of the water. <br />3. Exhibit J - (a) describe the existing vegetation types, which include quantitative estimates <br />of cover and height. <br />- (c) provide an estimate of carrying capacity for range lands on or in the <br />vicinity of the affected land. <br />You need to file a copy of this letter, and a copy of your response, with the County Clerk and <br />Recorder and provide the Division with an affidavit or receipt demonstrating that the documents <br />were filed with the Clerk and Recorder. <br />Also, if you haven't aheady done so, please submit proof of publication and proof of all required <br />notices. <br />The current decision due date is set for August 16, 2004.
