As a first step in investigating this allegation, we would like to review the Stormwater
Management Plan (SWMP) for the Snow Bird Mine.
Your Colorado Discharge Permit System (CDPS) permit, referenced above, includes a requirement to
control stotmwater discharges associated with mining activities at your site. The primary stormwater
requirement is that you develop and implement a SWMP (see section I.D. of the permit on page 5).
The contents of the SWMP are specified in the permit (see pages 6 and 7) I have enclosed a copy of
the general permit for your reference.
Section I.D.4. states that this SWMP must be provided to the Division upon request, within the time
frame specified in the request. This letter is a formal request for submittal of the Snow Bird Mine
SWMP. Please submit your SWMP to this office by October 13, 1995.
ARer review of the SWMP, we will contact you to schedule an inspection of the site.
