RE: Quarterly Discharge Monitoring Report for Permit CO-0000221
Dear Sir or Madam:
Pursuant to the quarterly reporting requirements contained in
Colorado Discharge Permit CO-0000221 for the Seneca Mine Complex,
enclosed find the first quarter 1998 discharge monitoring reports
for Sites 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 008, 009, 010, and 011.
Please note that the WET test DMR's for Sites 002, 003, 004, 006
and 008 have remarks on them pertaining to incorrect sampling
frequencies. The correct frequencies are found on Pages 14 and 15
of the Rationale section of our permit. These are the
frequencies that we historically complied with. The frequencies
stated in Part I, Page 14 (of the actual permit) were incorrect.
I talked to Jon Kubic of your Division (he was the permit writer)
and he agreed with me that the frequencies stated in the
Rationale section are the correct ones. He sent out a correction
to Page 14 of the permit dated January 6, 1998.
