<br />~; <br />E~~A <br />S Coal Company <br />III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />Seneca Coal Compan <br />April 7, 1998 <br />Colorado Department of Health <br />WQCD-PE-B2 <br />4300 Cherry Creek Drive South <br />Denver, CO 80222-1530 <br />RE: Quarterly Discharge Monitoring Report for Permit CO-0000221 <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />Pursuant to the quarterly reporting requirements contained in <br />Colorado Discharge Permit CO-0000221 for the Seneca Mine Complex, <br />enclosed find the first quarter 1998 discharge monitoring reports <br />for Sites 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 008, 009, 010, and 011. <br />Please note that the WET test DMR's for Sites 002, 003, 004, 006 <br />and 008 have remarks on them pertaining to incorrect sampling <br />frequencies. The correct frequencies are found on Pages 14 and 15 <br />of the Rationale section of our permit. These are the <br />frequencies that we historically complied with. The frequencies <br />stated in Part I, Page 14 (of the actual permit) were incorrect. <br />I talked to Jon Kubic of your Division (he was the permit writer) <br />and he agreed with me that the frequencies stated in the <br />Rationale section are the correct ones.
