• ~ III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
EXHIBIT C
MINING PLAN
FREMONT COUNTY ROAD DISTRICT # 3
STIRRUP GRAVEL PIT
The mining operation will be started as soon as all local and
state permits have been obtained. The project is predicted to
last ten (10) years, to use the amount of sand and gravel
estimated to be on this site.
Removal of topsoil will vary slightly from four (4) inches to six
(6) inches and will be placed in the configuration of a berm as a
visual and erosion barrier on the South side of the pit.
The material at the site has virtually no overburden and is
expected to all be used. The predicted mining depth is twentyfive
(25) to thirty (30) feet.
The mining operation will be conducted by the county road crews
on a need basis with a minimal amount of stockpiling to be done.
The equipment to be used in the operation will consist of a
bulldozer to scrape and pile the material, a front-end loader to
load dump trucks so that material may be transported to use
sites. There may be an occasional need to screen and stockpile
material. On these occasions, stockpiles will be located as shown
on the map.
The area disturbed by mining will be a irregular shaped tract,
containing approximately nine and one-half (9 & 1/2) acres.
Approximate dimensions for the site are as follows; North -- 150
feet, East -- 450 feet, North -- 660 feet, west -- 600 feet,
South -- 810 feet, East -- 150 feet.
The subject parcel adjoins Fremont County Road # 2 and access is
gained from said road. No major new construction of roads will be
necessary. The reason for the project is to improve existing
county roads.
From all preliminary investigations, there are ~no indications
that ground water will be encountered throughout the entire
project.
