iiiiiiiiiiiuiiiiii ~
10. Method of Operation. As shown on the attached topo-
graphy maps, we plan to remove a portion of the dike by
commencing the operation at the south end and working in a
northerly direction. As shown on the attached maps there
will be two separate operations because there are two different
land owners and we will not be able to co-mingle the material
removed. This deposit will be worked with 40 foot benches,
drilling, shooting and removing material as we move northerly.
There will be a 20 foot berm left along the east portion of the
property which will servo to screen from view our activity
from highway 93 and any property owners in the vicinity. This
berm will also serve to stop any potential surface drainage
from going into upper Long Lake.
Portable equipment will be used in this operation
and will consist of two portable jaw crushers, three or four
cone crushers, two or three 8 x 20 screens, metal conveyors
of all lengths and sizes and truck scale and scale house.
This operation will be conducted six days per week,
Sundays excluded, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Any blasting will be performed between the hours of 8:30 a.m.
and 4:00 p.m.
Upon commencement of the operation the overburden
which is approximately one foot thick will be removed and
stockpiled along the east side of the property and will be
ultimately used in connection with the restoration plan.
Noneof this overburden will be sold or removed from the site.
The products produced will be as follows:
2 1/2 inch aggregate base course;
1 1/2 inch aggregate base course;
3/4 inch aggregate base course for asphaltic concrete;
1/2 inch aggregate base course for asphaltic concrete;
various sizes of rock from 3/8 inches to 4 inches.
There ~•rill be two access roads which will be built
and located as follows:
1. From the Pattridge property the road will extend
from the south end of the dike and run easterly to highway 93
and the point of entrance onto said highway has been ap roved
by the Jefferson County officials. (see attached letter .
2. The second access road will extend from the south
end of the Ramstetter property southerly and connect with 41.
58th Avenue. Proper procedure will be employed in the construc-
tion of these roads to insure that a minimum of dust will be
produced.
The applicant has sufficient ~vater available which will
be used in the operation for dust control purposes including the
crushing operation and the drilling and blasting operation.
The areas producing dust in this operation will be sprayed
continuously so as to comply with E.P.A. regulations.
