These monitoring activities are in fulfillment of requirements fur yu;rrtrrl+ <br />c~~mpliani r monitoring of groundwater and surface water at the Gold Hill Mill, as required by the Colorad~~ <br />Dnision of ~1inerals and Geoloey. Monitoring activuies were pertbrmed in accordance +vith \i PG <br />Standard Oper:uine Procedures (SOPS), adapted as necessary to accommodate as-encountered field <br />a>ndiuons. <br />I'1fIRD-QUARTER GROUNDWATER SA~IPLING <br />Groundwater sampling activmes were conduced a[ the Si[e by MFG personnel on Sepienthrr 3U. <br />I99S. Gruund+vatrr samples were collected from four monitoring wills (Well # I . V/zll q'. \Vell b ~. ;tnd <br />\1'rll ,Yd) Addnional groundwater samples were taken from the Hazel .4 adit and [he fresh water huldim_ <br />tank located inside the mill building. The fresh water holding tank is fed by groundwater pumped ftom the <br />\1-~ nona mine ;md therefore represents the Wynona groundwater sample.
