The conclusions and recommendations were provided in the inspection report and again in
a letter dated December 9, 1996. The responses are provided in same order as presented in the
letter.
The inclusion of cation and anion balances on the laboratory analytical data is addressed in
the responses to the Division's request for a revision to improve the hydrologic monitoring
program (letter also dated December 9, 1996).
2. The inclusion ofchain-of-custody documents in the AHR is addressed in the responses to
the Division's request for a revision to improve the hydrologic monitoring program (letter
also dated December 9, 1996).
Stream dischazge measurements at the North Fork Lower station is addressed in the
responses to the Division's request for a revision to improve the hydrologic monitoring
program (letter also dated December 9, 1996).
4. As stated in the responses to the Division's 1993 AHIt review, the current operating
procedure at the Sylvester Gulch flume is to clear accumulations of sediment below the
flume at each visit. MCC will continue this practice.
5. The silt fence at the train loadout has been repositioned as requested during the inspection.
6. As you are aware, MCC is currently working on a revision to the Probable Hydrologic
Consequences (PHC) to address the B East Main inflow and water management, and expect
to submit the revision by February 21, 1997.
