Subsequent to our discussion, the
embankment on Pond #4 was completed and the discharge structures
were established to their proper relative elevations.
Other drainage taken care of since your inspection June 21st
include:
o a 12" culvert was installed from the lower stockpile to
Pond #4;
o a collection ditch was installed between the lower stock-
pile and the road;
o drainage was re-established over the bridge and behind the
guard house into Pond #4; and
o drainage was re-established along the road leading to Pond #1.
Another item discussed was the topsoil concern expressed by
OSM. Straw was spread on the topsoil stockpile behind the coal
pile on June 28th, and a straw dike was placed along the southern
edge of the topsoil stockpile near Pond #1 on June 26th. Planting
of these areas is scheduled for the fall of 1984.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Very truly yours,
~~n~ 5. I ~
.~ Larry M.
