First quartet 2003 reports were received in <br />the DMG office on December 8, 2003. Inspections were conducted 2/18/03. No significant problems were <br />identified in the reports. Most of the ponds were dry or snow covered. None of the ponds were dischazging. <br />Inspection reports need to be sent to the Division on a quaztexly basis in accordance with Rule 4.05.9(1'7). <br />Second quarter 2003 Sediment Pond inspection reports were reviewed. Second quarter 2003 reports were <br />received in the DMG office on December 8, 2003. Inspections were conducted 6/18/03. Most of the ponds <br />were dry or holding less than half volume of water. Only outfall 003 was discharging. Wastewater pond holds <br />little water and is not actively being used as the mine is in temporary cessation status. Inspection reports need to <br />be submitted in a more timely fashion. <br />Third quaztet 2003Sediment Pond inspection reports were reviewed. Third quazter 2003 reports were received <br />in the DMG office on December 8, 2003 Sediment pond inspections were conducted on 8/15/02. No <br />significant concerns were noted in the pond inspections. All ponds were dry except 5-P5, 5-P6, 5-P7, 9-P2, 9-P3 <br />and the wastewater treatment pond. Only Outfall 003 was dischazging. Inspection reports need to be submitted <br />in a more timely fashion in accordance with Rule 4.05.9(1'7). <br />Fourth Quarter 2003 Sediment Pond reports were reviewed. Fourth Quarter 2003 Sediment Pond reports were <br />received by DMG on 12/08/2003. Sediment pond inspections wue conducted by RAG-EC on 10/23/03. <br />Fourth Quarter 2003 reports were submitted in a timely fashion in accordance with Rule 4.05.9(1'1]. Most of <br />the ponds remain dry with the exception of ponds 5-P5, 5-P6, 5-P7, 9-P2, 9-P3 and the wastewater treatment <br />pond. Only Outfall 003 was dischazging. No maintenance needs were identified on these sediment pond <br />inspection reports <br />Please note that Fourth quarter 2002 Sediment Pond inspection reports have not been submitted to the Division <br />at this time.
