At the time of the inspection, a metal sign
was posted at the road entrance to the mine on a metal pole just below a speed limit sign.
CSU regrets not pointing this out during the inspection.
• Regarding you inspection finding that the affected land boundary had not been completely
marked, CSU plans to have the affected land boundary surveyed and re-staked to completely
mark the boundary by April 30, 1995, as requested in the inspection report.
Regarding you inspection finding that topsoil was placed outside the west permit boundary,
CSU has submitted, as part of its annual report, a map showing the area that exceeds the
boundary limits. It is CSU's understanding that a Formal Public Hearing will be held on this
matter during the March 1995 Board meeting. CSU intends to request a technical revision to
the permit during this hearing. This request was also noted in the annual report. Any
assistance you can provide on presenting this request to the Board would be much
appreciated.
I want to thank you for your assistance in helping CSU comply with Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board Regulations. Please do not hesitate to call me if there are any questions at
(719)636-5871.
Sincerely,
~.' ~+~~~
M.
