Mining Plan and Mao <br />The river channel boundary and the pit boundary have been specifically labeled. <br />The development of the mining operation is simply removing a maximum of 30,000 <br />cubic yards annually. The following spring floods will deposit new gravel in <br />the pit area. <br />Exhibit D, Water Resources <br />It is expected we remove a maximum of 30,000 cubic yards of gravel annually. Of <br />the river's annual sediment load this quantity of gravel is a very small frac- <br />tion. This operation is expected to be operated annually for the term of the <br />lease. The mining operation is not expected to cause a noticeable lowering or <br />lateral relocation of the river channel, based on historical use of this pit. <br />There are no structures within one mile of this operation. There will be no <br />water requirements for this operation, therefore, no consumptive uses. We have <br />not applied to the Colorado Department of Health for a Discharge permit as we <br />will not be discharging anything. <br />Exhibit D, Soils and Vegetation Information. <br />Because this pit is located in the annual flood plane, there is no existing vege- <br />tation, and no ability to successfully start any vegetation. <br />Exhibits E 8 H, Reclamation Plan and Costs <br />No reclamation is anticipated. The pit area is in the annual flood plane and it <br />is therefore impossible to revegetate the area. The area does not have vegeta- <br />tion cover presently. We anticipate no reclamation due to the situation, and, <br />subsequently, no reclamation cost. Each spring the river will fill in the volume <br />of material that is removed.
