The relocated track will encroach on existing Pond A. Once
the track is relocated there will be virtually no room to reconstruct the pond or build a new pond.
Pond A is small with a limited disturbed watershed of approximately 1.1 acres. Given that the
watershed is so small, OMI proposes to remove Pond A and replace it with alternative sediment
control consisting of a sediment fence.
A Minor Revision to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology Permit Number C-81-022
has been submitted to request approval for a Small Area Exemption for the loadout area. We
expect to receive approval of Minor Revision Number 49 very soon. Also, since we have no
control over railroad operation within their right-of--way, we expect the railroad to complete their
track realignment this month.
If you have any questions, or require additional information, please contact Thomas C.
Anderson, P.E., Environmental Coordinator.
Sincerely,
~at,T~ L,lv,~~'
Walter L.
