Dept. of Natural Resources
Gentlemen:
In reply to your published notice, we of the Fairmount Improvement
Association, would like to state briefly, a few of the many objections,
to the requested Mining permit proposed in the North 1/2 and the North 1/2
of the South 1/2 of Section 34, Township 2~South, Range 70 West in Jeffer-
son County. (Published in the Colorado Transcript August 4, 1983)
The Fairmount Improvement Association is a homeoraners and othe member
association located in Jefferson County and have worked for many years in
close association with our County Commissioners and Planners to help
preserve our semi-rural quality of life.
Traffic studies of the proposed site will have tremendous impact not
only on the Fairmount Community, but on the all ready dangerous and over
used roads, i.e. Highway 93, etc.
Since the winds are ever present from the north-west, pollution, dust
and noise would not only be a severe problem to the Bloun Reservoir which
is south-east of the proposed site, but would prevail into Tucker Lake and
many residential areas.
We feel that there has been no review or input on this issue from the
areas which would he affected and we strongly urge that the permit be denied.
Very truly yours,
0
z
Shirley cer, 'hai~J
of Planni and Zoning
:_r'~.:
~~%tir.
O
z
N

N
0
i
