As noted in the letter to DMG from the Water Quality Control
Division, they have no objection to the use of this water as dust suppression.
However, due to the relative high concentrations of nitrate reported in the analyses, both
Division's recommend the use of this water as dust suppression be held at a minimum and
repeated use of these water in the same azeas be avoided. The use of this water must also be
limited to roads within the amended azea of the Carlton Project, Cresson Amendment.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact me.
Sincerely,
erh~effelew
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Rich Horstmann, WQCD
