Shelton
Director
Yesterday, the Mined land Reclamation Board approved your application for a
limited impact (210) mining and reclamation permit fot the above-captioned
operation and set the amount of financial warranty at $5,000,00. Upon receipt
and approval of this financial warranty and the accompanying performance
warranty, and upon receipt of the materials we discussed last Tuesday (as
outlined below), your permit will be issued. I outlined the procedure for the
execution of the warranties to you, but if you have any other questions (or
need another type of form), please call me,
As we discussed, it will be to your advantage to begin reclaiming any parts
of the pit that are mined out as soon as possible, rather than waiting until
y1 the end of the mining operation. As I understood it, you plan to do such
~\ concurrent reclamation in any area where it is possible, Please clarify your
plans in this regard.
Please clarify the situation as concerns the periodic water in the pit (as
relates to irrigation of nearby land), As I understand the situation, this
pit is naturally dry with the water table at about 75' below the normal ground
surface. This pit is, thus, to be mined dry and reclaimed as agricultural Zand.
I will expect you to .return the copy of the application that I
the map modified as per our discussion. e d locations
st~ckpi es and a o own on the map you sub
last Tuesday, or 2'~1' y you o e necessary to illustrate ou.
be illustrated on t e map ding, as ou did before, a dis
The map should also av xact outline of the proposed 7,5
to you with
to me
s should
acre permit area.
