Aa previously indicated, the map cost about $15,000
to produce and the calculation of volumes and doing comparative cross
sectioning was additional.
Enclosed are various items for your information. First, a copy of the
new topography map is provided. This map does not include the far north
eastern corner o£ the permitted area, but nothing has ever been done
there, so it is not really relevant to the issue at hand. The engineer
is currently working on merging that area into this map and adjusting
the layout so everything will fit on one sheet. The map shows each of
the 37 stockpiles of various materials that were used in the volume
calculations. Ae you can see, we included all piles in the volume
calculation that were of any significance and could feasibly be measured
at this map accuracy. The small piles between the plant and the scale
house were not included, but they would not add much volume to the
total.
A data sheet is provided that shows what each of the numbered piles is
composed of and its volume. The table has been arranged so that
materials of similar nature are all together. A total for each type of
material is provided in the column titled Class Volume. The volumes
shown are an average of the volumes calculated by two different methods
using digitized mapping points supplied by Analytical Surveys who did
the mapping. The computer work was done on Autocad Version 11.
~~.,ti
